Pefki. Pefki is a popular seaside resort for the Greeks, with a large sandy pebble beach in northern Evia. It is located approximately 190 kilometers northeast of Athens. You can reach it by car in three hours from Athens. On the beach of Pefki many taverns, pizzerias, ouzeries, cafes and restaurants are situated. There is also a campsite. The beach is well organized, various watersports are possible and at the beach you can play beach volleyball. The whole area around Pefki is beautifully overgrown with pine trees, which explains the name Pefki, because "Pefko" in Greek means pine tree.

Artemisio. Artemisio is a village which lies right next to Pefki. During excavations the bronze statue of Zeus was found. This statue is in the Archaeological Museum of Athens. In the village are the Byzantine churches of Agia Paraskevi and Panagia.
Southeast of Pefki and Artemisio, several lovely towns such Gouves, Hellenic, and Psaropouli Vassilika and Agia Anna. Here you imagine yourself in Austria or Switzerland. You will see here beautiful forests and breathtaking landscapes.
